About

While many of us associate yoga with a specific style of movement (asana), classical yoga actually consists of an eight-part (or limb) sequence that addresses the present moment from the outside in. Our children's classes are designed to offer students a well-rounded practice that integrates the eight limbs through connection, breath, movement, focus, and relaxation exercises. This is why you will often see students in our classes playing games, drawing, engaging in group discussions, as well as practicing yoga poses and breathing techniques. In this way, we can help students discover and/or strengthen life skills that can be of immediate use to them in meeting their own physical, social, and emotional needs, assisting them in:

  • Developing self awareness

  • Building concentration

  • Managing stress

  • Learning to unwind and detach from technology.

In a typical Kids Yoga class at The Nest, you can expect:

  • Breathing

  • Gentle stretching

  • Asanas (Postures)

  • Mindfulness Activities

Our Kids Classes are currently held on Tuesdays from 4:30-5:15PM. You can register for class on our schedule by clicking the button below. Please register with your child’s name.
